Okay, so I was just thinking about this thing Blaine says to Kurt (and by “I was thinking about it,” I mean, “Toni posted a gif of it”) -
“I don’t know what I’m doing. I pretend like I do and I know how to act it out in song but the truth is, I’ve never really been anyone’s boyfriend.”
Okay, so my thought was - what if Darren was like this - I see it as sort of commitmentphobic, not necessarily inexperienced - in real life, and that was a hangup between him and Lea? He definitely is “good at acting it out in song” (that’s why everyone falls in love with him). And we could easily ignore…um…certain real-life people for the sake of “never really been anyone’s boyfriend.”
And then I thought, HEY, that actually sounds like a cool idea for a multi-chaptered fic. And then of course, I was like WELP guess this one’s not getting written because I am way too scared to start a multi-chapter and, like, actually be committed to it.
But THEN I was thinking (there were a lot of thoughts going on here if you can’t tell) - I know that we’re all kind of chapter-phobic, so what if we wrote this together? Or even just another multi-chaptered fic with a different concept behind it.
We could set it up where we’d figure out who was interested in doing it, and then this person would write chapter 1 and the next would write chapter 2 building on the other person’s chapter, and etc. Sure it wouldn’t be the most organized thing in the world, but it might be fun :)
